Walk Joys Green – Lydbrook – Along River Wye – Symonds Yat
I enjoyed a very nice walk from the bus stop in Joys Green with the plan of getting to The Saracens Head Pub at Symonds Yat in time for last orders for a prearranged lift back home to Gloucester. This is a photo blog of my day.

1st Stop Bus From Gloucester To Joys Green
Joys green was chosen as it is the closest stop I could find to the River Wye in Lydbrook that was a direct service. The Bus is the number 23 from Gloucester. Time Table…

Geting Off The Road ASAP
Walking down the hill from Joys Green I spotted a nice looking path, not in the direction I planned but hey this is adventure and only have one deadline. The path runs from Joys Green Road to the A4136 on the map below. the photos in order of this section are below the map.

3 Down Through Lydbrook To The River Wye
The next phase of the walk was down the B4234 through Upper Lydbrook and then Lower Lydbrook. I stocked up with drink at the local shop in the village but decided a pint in The Anchor Inn or The Jovial Colliers Inn was not for me today. The walk was all down hill until reaching the Wye.
