Forage for wild garlic & learn new baking skills!
The ideal spring day out
About The Event
This spring, Good Day Out are offering you the perfect day out experience that is a perfect gift for a foodie enthusiast. The first part of the morning features a leafy woodland forage along the lovely Towy Valley for the fragrant leaves and flowers of wild garlic, with the rest of the day cooking and baking what you have foraged of this versatile plant, accompanied and taught by an award-winning chef.
A hugely enjoyable day within a small group, this is really hands on and you will learn not only about this free and plentiful plant, its habitat and identification, but also how to use it to make soups, sauces, pesto and delicious dishes using both its leaves and its flowers. The day also includes a taster lunch, and refreshments throughout the day.
With all Good Day Out experiences and activities, a good cause also benefits, and in this case a donation from each voucher will go towards the local branch of Slow Food Cymru that links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment.
Current dates for the Spring Forage & Wild Garlic Bake are Sunday 15th March, Saturday 4th April and Sunday 19th April, but other dates may be available.
